What can Individuals do?
Issue like spatial inequality are difficult for individuals to solve. It is very widespread and individuals cannot directly solve it, but they can contribute by raising awareness of this issue. Individuals can help by raising money to charities for the poor and unprevelliged.

Groups and organisations can play a very big part to help people suffering from poverty. There are many GOs (Government organisations) and NGOs (Non-Government Organisations) that deal with poverty and spatial inequality directly and indirectly everyday. What can the Government do?
(refer to case study)
The government can be very important part of overcoming inequality in Australia because of the money they have. The government can make many decisions to help reduce inequality. The Australian government is trying to have economic growth to make sure spatial inequality and unemployment is low as possible. The government can also set up charities and organisations. Another strategy the government can use is to make community services, healthcare and housing more affordable for the poor.
My Opinion
In my opinion all of these strategies can help in reducing spatial inequality but not getting rid of it completely because I think that whenever there are rich people there always seems to be poor people as well. I think groups, individuals and governments can give poorer people a better standard of living by giving equal amount of access to water, jobs, education etc.

Australia compared to other countries in aid spending to reduce inequality.
The graph below shows the amount spend in aiding people who suffer from spatial inequality and poverty. The graph below shows the comparison between Australia and other countries ( Denmark ) in spending money to aid poverty and inequality in GNI (gross national income).
The graph shows that Australia spend less gross national income on aid spending is at 0.33% GNI, while Denmark is at 0.88% GNI. Australia is represented as the blue section an Denmark is the red section.
What can we learn from this graph?
We can learn that Australia contributes less towards giving aid to poorer people than other Developed countries such as Denmark. Australia's GNI is about $823 billion while Denmark's GNI is around $235 Billion which tells us that although Denmark receives less money, they contribute more money on aiding than Australia. The United Nations target is to get 0.7% of GNI towards aiding people which Denmark achieves and Australia doesn't.
What can be done?
Australia should try to give some of ther GNI towards aiding people in need.
How can people understand more?
People should compare Australia with other developed and un-developed countries in providing aid. People should also do research on why the graph reveals these stats.
